PopSockets,House of Pleasures (House of Tolerance) the ever popular grip attachment for smartphones, just came out with a new innovation. Originally created as a way to easily store wired earbuds, PopSockets have lasted in popularity thanks to their ergonomic design that makes holding your phone more comfortable. Now, the brand has debuted its Kick-Out Grip Stand that allows you to go hands-free while watching Portrait Mode.
The Kick-Out Grip and Stand is part of PopSockets MagSafe line that magnetically attach to MagSafe compatible devices. The exterior of the device looks like your standard PopSocket and comes in six different shades: black, latte, dusk, putty, aluminum radial french navy, and aluminum radial silver. The grip then flips down to turn into a stand that props up your phone in portrait.
Regular PopSockets have worked as stands, but primarily in landscape mode. Now the Kick-Out Grip and Stand props up phones vertically. This lets you watch vertical video or take video calls hands-free. The new grip comes with a MagSafe adaptor if your phone case is not MagSafe compatible.
This is PopSockets first vertical phone kickstand, but it's not the first to hit the market. Recently the Ganinno R Stand, went viral online as an easy way to adapt PopSockets to Kindles. Now PopSocket has their own version of the stand that's available to purchase now.
The Kick-Out Grip Stand costs $39.99 and is available to purchase directly from PopSockets, Amazon, and Best Buy.
