020 ArchivesVivo NEX is a pretty special phone; it's all-screen on the front and its selfie camera pops up from the top of the phone only when needed.
But there's a way to make this phone even cooler -- by making its back fully transparent.

Removing the phone's back panel and scratching its paint to make it transparent was easy enough. Where it gets tricky, though, is cutting up a piece of the metal-and-plastic cover that obscures the mechanism even when the back panel is removed.
The process is dangerous, definitely voids all warranties and probably makes the phone less waterproof. But the end result is absolutely gorgeous, and the pop-up camera mechanism is very cool to behold.
If you like the idea of a phone with a transparent back, there's an easier way to get one. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition is one such device, though it doesn't have any moving parts, and it's not actually showing real electronic components.
