HotKthe heels of Wonder Woman's record-breaking success, another female superhero is headed to the big screen. A real one this time.
Focus Features is moving forward with On the Basis of Sex, a biopic of Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, with Felicity Jones set to play the lead.

She eventually went on to become the second female justice of the Supreme Court (after Sandra Day O'Connor) and the first Jewish female justice.
On the Basis of Sexwill be helmed by Mimi Leder, whose Deep Impactis one of the highest-grossing films ever from a female director. She's also an accomplished TV director whose credits include ER, Shameless, and The Leftovers.
Jones is coming off of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in which she played a female hero of the rebellion – this movie's just badass ladies all around. Jones replaces Natalie Portman, who was previously attached to star in the project.
