Prime Day 2 is fast approaching. Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days will be happening next week, on Oct. 10 and Oct. 11. Prime members (including those of us cheating the system a little by taking advantage of the Prime free trial) can start the celebration a bit earlier — what with the invite-only deals Amazon has been rolling out lately. There are about 10 such deals on the site right now (though not all of them are made equal). A too-good-to-be-true (and yet true) Amazon Fire TV markdown is the latest invite-only deal to hit the scene.

As of October 5, the Amazon Fire TV 50-inch Omni Series 4K UHD smart TV is being offered to Prime members for only $149.99 instead of $375.99. This whopping 60% discount makes this TV's lowest price ever by leaps and bounds. Note that requesting an invite to this deal (which you can do by navigating to the invite-only item link and hitting that "Request invite" button) won't guarantee your access to it. Amazon has a super-secret way of choosing just who gets the perks; if you're one of the lucky "winners," you'll be notified of the fact and provided a link to shop the TV for $226 off on Oct. 10 - Oct. 11.

The Amazon Fire TV 50-inch Omni Series is quite a dreamy TV option. It boasts 4K Ultra HD quality, a crystal-clear and high contrast display, hands-free Alexa compatibility, and surround sound audio that will suddenly make trips to the movie theater unnecessary.
