UPDATE Aug. 5,eroticism of pure love 2018, 10:11 a.m. ET
It's not happening, folks.
Although Lance Bass informed the world on Saturday that his offer to purchase the Brady Bunchhouse had been "accepted," he followed up that announcement with a statement overnight making it clear that he had spoken too soon. The house isn't his. In fact, he's getting the feeling now that he might have been nothing more than a pawn in a bid to drive up the house's value.
"The next day, due to 'unforeseen circumstances,' the same agent informed us that there's another Corporate Buyer (Hollywood studio) who wants the house at any cost," he wrote. "We were prepared to go even higher but [were] totally discouraged by the sellers [sic] agent, [who said] they will outperform any bid with unlimited resources."
He continued: "I truly believe I was used to drive up the price of the home knowing very well that the corporation intended on making their offer and it's not a good feeling. I feel used but most importantly I'm hurt and saddened by this highly questionable outcome."
He did end the statement on a positive note, at least: "To make me happier you can register and vote on November 6th!"

What an exceedingly lame turn of events.
Original story follows:
It's comforting to know that this cold and harsh 2018 isn't all bad news.
Former NSYNC superstar Lance Bass is apparently about to be the proud owner of 11222 Dilling Street in North Hollywood, California. Most people know it as the home of The Brady Bunch.
SEE ALSO: Justin Timberlake just got involved in the greatest World Cup memeThe classic TV sitcom's iconic home went up for sale in July with a $1,885,000 asking price. It's a palatial 2,500 square foot home built on a one-third acre lot. You can see the listing right here.
You might wonder why the listing is still active if Bass purchased the property. It looks like the final points on the deal are still being sorted through. But confirmation of the pending purchase comes straight from Bass, who shared the happy news on Twitter.

"This is going to be a fun project!" he wrote. What does that even mean? What are you going to do to the Brady Bunch house, Lance?
Nothing frightening, apparently. While the house's exterior still looks very similar to the old Brady Bunchhouse, the interior is very different. Responding on Twitter to one would-be buyer who suggested remaking the interior to resemble what it looked like on the show, Bass responded in agreement.

At the very least, Bass already has dinner plans. The Brady Bunchstar Maureen McCormick (aka Marcia MFing Brady) tweeted her congratulations to Bass and scored an immediate housewarming invite.

Everything about this entire situation is the absolute best.
