College football got a little more interesting this year.
One high school senior just made history by becoming the first female to receive a football scholarship at an NCAA Division II school or Watch A Wife Who Lost Her Chastity To A Friend Onlinehigher.

About a dozen women have played football for NCAA schools but none on a scholarship, CNNreported.
Upon hearing that she was the first NCAA scholarship player, Longo said she was "completely shocked."
“I had no idea," the athlete told People. ”It didn’t really kick in until a couple hours after, I just thought I was signing a piece of paper to go play the sport I love again. Even right now, I’m still shocked."
"It just doesn’t feel real,” she continued.
Longo grew up with a brother 11 years her senior, who began playing football with her at an early age. There was a female player on his high school team, so the future kicker thought nothing of stepping onto the field herself.
In high school, Longo decided to try out for the team her sophomore year and made junior varsity. In a new school, she returned to the field her senior year, and began seeing football as something more than a than an after school pastime.
The kicker explained that she contacted Adams State during her senior season, sent highlight tapes, and heard back from the university shortly after. After visiting the school and being offered a scholarship, Longo gushed, "I'm just so unbelievably grateful that somebody gave me a chance."
“There is no doubt she can be competitive,” former NFL quarterback and Adams State head coach Timm Rosenbach told the Arizona Republic. “She has a strong leg, and she can be very accurate.”
Of 33 extra point attempts last season, Longo made 30 and hit a 30-yard field goal. Here she is in practice hitting a goal from 48 yards out.
Longo says that gender has never been a topic of conversation with Coach Rosenbach and other Adams State coaching staff.
“He didn’t treat me like a girl,” the player said of her future coach. “He treats me like a football player.”
While receiving a wave of support since her scholarship story gained media attention, Longo insists that hasn't always been the case.
“I got a lot of negativity, and people saying I couldn’t do it,” she said of being a woman on the football team, recalling classmates making fun of her and asking her if she was wearing her own jersey or her boyfriend's.
“But that’s just what pushed me to do what I’m doing," she said.
As for after college? Longo isn't ruling out making history again in the NFL.
“If the opportunity was provided, I’d definitely take it,” she revealed, “But I’m just trying to grasp what’s going on right now.”
We can't wait to see where she goes.
