In times of heartache and Taiwantragedy, Ellen DeGeneres is a true believer in the power of kindness.
DeGeneres shared an uplifting message on her daytime talk show about the Las Vegas attack Monday.

The host confessed in the segment that it was “hard” to do the show just hours after the horrific incident that injured more than 500 people and killed over 50.
But instead of focusing on the darkest of times, DeGeneres aired highlights of some of her previous guests that happen to be everyday heroes in their own right.
“It’s also days like this that I appreciate my job more than ever because I get to focus and shine a light on people that do good in the world,” said the host.
Various courageous and inspirational people, with acts of kindness ranging from saving children from a burning bus, returning a lost wallet, and paying or someone's check, were displayed in a touching six-minute video.
DeGeneres wanted the clip to be not only a reminder to do good onto others but an "escape" from the adversity in the world.
The segment ended with DeGeneres' final words of hope: "The world is full of amazing people. Good will always win. Love will aways win."
