Apple's online store is Italycurrently down, but we don't expect any surprises when it comes back at exactly 11:01 a.m. ET (8:01 a.m PT). Instead, the company's new PRODUCT(RED) iPhone, as well as the new $329 iPad tablet, will become available for order.

However, by buying it you support a good cause: Apple donates a portion of the proceeds from all PRODUCT(RED) devices to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS.
The new, $329 iPad (which replaces the iPad Air product line), also becomes available for order today in more than 20 countries including the U.S. Shipping will begin next week.

It has a more powerful processor (A9) and a brighter screen than the Air 2. But is a little bit thicker and heavier, and its screen is not laminated to the cover glass and does not have an anti-reflective coating.
