Years of rumor-mongering and Candy Apples Archivesleaks have been put to rest. We finallyhave a price and release date for Nintendo Switch 2, straight from the mothership.

During its big Nintendo Direct stream on Wednesday morning, Nintendo showed off a bunch of games and new features, as expected. However, for many, the biggest news is that the console is launching on June 5, 2025.

The starting price for the Nintendo Switch 2 is $449.99. That's $150 more than the Nintendo Switch's original launch price of $299.99, but $50 less than the PS5 and Xbox Series X's launch prices of $499.99.
