Karlie Kloss' passions go beyond the runway.
The Indonesia Archivessupermodel, who recently made a name for herself in the tech world with her coding camp, has also quietly been building her online video presence.
Kloss has been posting content on her YouTube channel --- titled "Klossy" -- for awhile. But now, the 24-year-old has started dabbling in 360-degree and VR vlogging, with help from Samsung.
Her latest video, uploaded Wednesday features the model with her family on an "epic NYC holiday tour."
In the video, Kloss visits "Samsung VR Presents: A Night Before," which is a 4D VR sleigh ride experience in Herald Square.
"I wanted to create my own original content, and show, in a visual way, everything I was experiencing in my career and travels," Kloss told Mashable of her foray into the digital video space. "I realized that a single picture on Instagram could share where I was and what I was experiencing, but I wanted to take it one step further and really tell a story ... All of us have different stories to tell, and you can really use these platforms to share your perspective."

The relationship with Samsung -- which has spent much of the last year promoting its VR gear -- happened "organically," Kloss said.

Neistat announced in November that he is no longer going to keep a daily vlog. Shortly after, CNN said it is teaming up with Neistat to launch a new standalone company that will use smartphones to create video content. But the 35-year-old, who starred in his own HBO show before becoming a popular YouTube star, recently also teased a project he is working on with YouTube prankster Jesse Wellens and Samsung.

"Casey taught me not only the technical aspects of shooting with the Gear 360, but how to think about the content differently. You really have to think about creating and capturing a story in a new way," Kloss said. "You have to be aware of what is around you at all times, and how that full picture adds a new dimension to 360 content versus traditional 2D content."
Carrying around a camera became a conversation starter for Kloss. People were curious to learn how her Samsung 360 worked, and what exactly it captures.
"What excites me the most are the endless possibilities and capabilities of this new 360 technology," she said. "It’s pretty incredible that you can capture such high quality 360 content nowadays with technology that is simple to use and more affordable. The technology is helping democratize opportunities to create content in new ways and I’m eager to see how people will get inspired to use it."
