Look. I'm not saying there's a total absence of cool games get hype about in June. But 2017's been busy. If you have history of eroticism brusendorff volume via backlog, this is a good time to tackle it.
You don't even have to ignore the games of June to do so. A lot of what's coming over the next 30 days can be enjoyed casually, offering a nice change of pace for those plugged into investment-heavy adventures like Horizon: Zero Dawnor Persona 5.

Tekken 7has existed in playable form since March 2015 when it started appearing in Japanese arcades. An updated version followed in July 2016 -- also for arcades -- and that's the version now releasing for home gaming hardware. If you're a fan of Tekken, don't expect a reinvention; the new bits primarily tweak wonky game mechanics that you'll learn over time. But "new Tekken" is more than enough for fans of the series, and this is exactly that.
Available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Sony's futuristic racing series -- and answer to Nintendo's F-Zero-- is back. This isn't a newgame so much as it is a collection of older games, freshened up and spit-shined for WipEout's first appearance on PlayStation 4. It isn't game-changing racing -- and it's never claimed to be that -- but the mix of speed, slick visuals, and sharp art design make this collection worth a look.
Available for PlayStation 4.
The Dirtseries trades the safety of asphalt for offroad rally racing, and that has allowed it to stand out in a market crowded with heavies like Forzaand Gran Turismo. In Dirt 4, you compete against the pros of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. When you're not speeding through gorgeous offroad environments, you're dealing with the day-to-day realities of managing the team charged with keeping your car in racing shape.
Available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Look. Armsis creepy af. It's a fighting game about noodle-armed warriors who all happen to be genetic freak shows. It smacks of gimmicky gameplay with its (not required) motion controls and it's arriving on the heels of two other huge fighting games: Tekken 7and Injustice 2. And yet, for all of that... Armsturns out to be hella fun. Maybe it's just a product of the desire among Switch gamers for more things to play on their new Nintendo console, but -- forgive me for saying this -- Armssure seems to have legs.
Available for Switch.
The Switch might shine as a portable gaming device, but Nintendo isn't ready to quit the 3DS just yet. Ever Oasisis a brand-new Nintendo-published action/RPG from Grezzo. Even if you're not familiar with the studio, you probably know its work: multiple Zelda3DS games, including the Ocarinaand Majoraremakes, Tri-Force Heroes, and the Four Swords Anniversary Edition. This is worth a look based on that pedigree alone.
Available for Nintendo 3DS.
Yes, another remake collection. Crash Bandicootput Uncharted/The Last of Usdeveloper Naughty Dog on the map, and now Vicarious Visions -- one of Activision's Skylandersteams -- is freshening up the first three games in the series for newer hardware. Reports on this one have been great so far, and we should get our most in-depth look yet at E3 -- which kicks off just a couple weeks before Crashlaunches.
Available for PlayStation 4.
