Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the eighth Harry Potter story by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne, is scheduled for a Spring 2018 New York City debut.
The two-part show, which debuted in July 2016 at London’s Palace Theatre, is ironing out the details to move to Broadway’s Lyric Theatre when it finishes its run in the UK.
Pricing for the New York City show has yet to be disclosed, but the show's stage producer hinted in a statement that low-priced options would be available.
Many in the UK have complained about the availability of low-priced tickets, with eager theater-goers forced to pay higher prices.

The Lyric, which is British owned, is the largest Broadway theater with 1,900 seats. It will be slightly more intimate for the Harry Potter play, seating 1,500 people in its auditorium.
Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender serve as stage producers and Christine Jones is the show's set designer.
"We know we need to bring it to New York as soon as we possibly can."
"We are still subject to planning, but assuming we get the go ahead, we will have the theatre of our dreams that will be intimate enough for a drama, yet big enough for us to follow in the footsteps of the London production and continue to provide low priced tickets throughout the auditorium," Friedman told Pottermore. "We know we need to bring it to New York as soon as we possibly can."
