Kindles are Jelena Jensen Archivesone of the shiniest jewels in Amazon's crown — which is to say, the retailer takes great pride in its line of Kindle e-readers and always puts them on sale during major shopping events like Prime Day, Black Friday, or Cyber Monday. Luckily for you, the latter is officially here.
Amazon's Black Friday sale kicked off in the early a.m. of Friday, Nov. 17 — a week ahead of the actualBlack Friday calendar day — and the retail behemoth is dragging it out for 11 days of deals. New deals have been dropping "as often as every five minutes during select periods" throughout the sale. In other words, ther have been and will be plenty of opportunities to snag some deals throughout the sale.

The Kindle Paperwhite Kids (16 GB) is an e-reader designed specifically for tikes. It has several features that make it a great choice for young readers, including a kid-friendly interface, parental controls, and a year of Amazon Kids+, which gives kids access to thousands of books, games, videos, and apps from brands like National Geographic, Marvel, and LEGO. The Kindle Paperwhite Kids is durable and can withstand the wear and tear of daily use. It's also waterproof so kids can take it to the beach or pool without worry.
The Kindle Oasis (8 GB) has a 7-inch glare-free display with a resolution of 300 pixels per inch (PPI). This means that the text on the screen is sharp and easy to read, even in bright sunlight. It also has an adjustable warm light feature, making it easier to read in low-light conditions (like wrapped up in the covers of your bed). Plus, thanks to the page turn buttons on the side of the device, you can easily turn pages without having to lift your finger off the screen.
The Kindle Scribe is really the cream of the crop in the Kindle universe. That's because it doubles as a notebook, allowing you to annotate the books you read by adding digital sticky notes, pen journal entries in a dedicated lined paper space, organize your thoughts with a "to-do" template, and so much more. Keep in mind that this is a bigger (and heavier) Kindle than its predecessors, which might mean wrist strain after holding it for too long.
The Kindle Scribe comes with additional perks, like automatic rotating page orientation and the ability to import/export docs with ease. Our reviewer Alex Perry appreciated the fact that the Scribe's screen is so large ("especially for anyone with eyesight problems") and that its battery life is so mighty. Currently $239.99 (reg. $339.99) for Cyber Monday, this matches the lowest price we've seen on this model.
