A police spokesman said the haul from the robbery, which took place at about 3 a.m. local time, was worth several million dollars in jewellery.
Another police official told The Associated Press that five armed men stole a jewelry box containing valuables worth 6 million euros ($6.7 million)
A journalist at France Info reported that the haul included Kardashian West's wedding ring, estimated at 4 million euros ($4.5 million).

The two gunmen, disguised as police officers, also took two cell phones before fleeing on bikes.
According to the website for radio station RTL, the incident occurred in a luxury residency located at 7 rue Tronchet in the eight arrondissement of Paris, near the famed church of La Madeleine.

Le Parisien reports that Kardashian was threatened with a gun to her head before being tied up in the bathroom.
Kardashian West's husband, Kanye West, cut his headlining set at The Meadows festival in New York City short on Sunday night upon hearing of the robbery.
The rapper was in the middle of performing "Heartless" when he was pulled to the side of the stage. West apologized to the crowd and exited the stage, "I'm sorry, family emergency. I have to stop the show."
Kardashian West, who is in Paris for fashion week, has stayed at the luxury residence at least once before, in 2014 before her marriage to West.
