LONDON -- Harry Potter fans are Watch Internal Affairs Onlinedivided after Warner Bros. announced there would be a whopping fivefilms in theFantastic Beastssaga.
SEE ALSO: There might be such a thing as too much Harry PotterWhile somepeople -- I'm not naming names -- have hailed five more Potter films "too much" and "excessive", I'm of the opinion that you can NEVER have too much Potter.
Via GiphyLook, I get it. Five films might sound like a pretty enormous commitment; something akin to embarking on a serious relationship immediately after breaking up with your soulmate.
But, should we really give up on love -- or Harry Potter -- because of a fear of commitment?

I grew up with Harry Potter. I clung to dogeared copies of the novels, devouring every word, and reading under the covers way past my bedtime. I counted the days until films hit cinemas. I camped out to buy tickets and, every time I watched a film, I considered it a holy pilgrimage of sorts.
And -- though many of you might not agree with me -- I've even gone so far as to argue that the films are better than the books.
As someone with a profound, lifelong love for the Harry Potter books and films, I believe that my life -- and that of each and every diehard Harry Potter fan -- will only be enriched by the release of these five films.
Upon closer examination of your life, ask yourself this: since the release of the final film -- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 -- has anything come close to filling the Harry Potter-shaped void in your life?
If the answer to this question is yes, then get out of here! But, if you -- like me -- haven't found anything to replace the Harry Potterfilms, why not embrace the prospect of five more films?
Via GiphyThis year has been tough on all of us. We've mourned the loss of some of the world's most beloved entertainers -- David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Prince, Gene Wilder, to name but a few. The United Kingdom is still reeling after the nation voted to "Brexit" the European Union in June this year.
Though you might think me dramatic, I spent many an evening watching the Harry Potterfilms to ease my teen angst and help myself through some high school experiences that would give Mean Girlsa run for its money.
The impending release of the first Fantastic Beastsfilm in November might actually salvage the wreckage of this truly dreadful year.
We need these five films to distract us. More so now than ever before.
Like many imagination-capturing works of fiction -- including The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Chronicles of Narnia -- doing justice to the complexity of a story often necessitates more than just one film.

Furthermore, the number of books does not necessarily have to correlate to the number of films produced.
The Fantastic Beastsmovie pentalogy is based on J. K. Rowling's singular novel of the same name. Some have argued that the creation of five films from one novel is a stretch. But, it wasn't so long ago that the 300-page novel The Hobbitwas turned into three rather jam-packed and enjoyable films.
So, cast aside your preconceptions, and reserve judgement. These five films could be just what we need right now to fill the Harry Potter-shaped void in our lives. These films might bring us the joy we need during some particularly hard times -- be they personal or universal.
Give these films a chance. You might just love them.
