Highlighter is Lisa Ann - Sexual Intrigue (2008)an essential ingredient when contouring your face. But, one company is selling highlighter for your vagina. Because apparently our genitals in their natural state aren't attractive enough.
SEE ALSO: Women are naming their vaginas after the last film they watchedDanish company The Perfect V -- geddit? -- has created a product called "Luminizer For The V," designed to "add some extra prettiness to the V".
According to the brand's mission statement, the company specialises in products for "the V" -- a nebulous term used throughout the website to describe women's genitals. In fact, the words "vulva" and "vagina" are nowhere to be found on this website specialising in products aimed at these parts of the female anatomy.
"We wax it, sugar it, shave it, pierce it, tattoo it, dye it, monogram it – and sometimes even sunbathe it and after all that we expect it to remain beautiful?" reads the statement on the brand's website.
"The delicate skin on our face and décolleté receives our attention day and night after far less strenuous treatment, but when it comes to our V— forget it," the statement continues.
The "special highlighting cream" claims to add a "luminous iridescent colour" to the pubic area. The product description also notes that the highlighter has "skincare benefits," and promises to renew and improve the skin and make it appear "more youthful and fresh".
The website states that for "instant radiance" users should "lightly dry the V" and apply a small drop of the highlighter. The product description, rather unhelpfully, doesn't note any anatomical directions for application so it's unclear whether your "V" means your vulva, pubic area or your bikini line.
In a promotional video for the product, a woman says the "extra fun product" can be used "everyday" or as a little "extra" when you go on a date or on a night out. "It makes your skin more radiant and it makes your skin look perfect," she adds.
When asked about the product, Dr Vanessa Mackay -- a spokesperson for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists -- said that "it's a good idea to avoid using cosmetics on the vulva" as they can "affect the healthy balance of bacteria and pH levels in the vagina and cause irritation".
But, the product's safety isn't the only issue. In the past few months alone, we've seen several alarming and dangerous trends focused on vaginas. Things like glitter bombs for vaginas, designed to make your vaginal secretions sparkly when you're having sex. Um, what? Women have also recently been warned against inserting wasps nests into their vaginas to "tighten the muscles". Again, what?
Many women have taken to Twitter to express their frustration about the launch of this product.

The price of so-called perfection isn't cheap. A tube of this highlighter will cost you 349 DKK (£42, $54).
This is one product our makeup kits can do without. The Perfect V did not respond to Mashable'srequest for comment.
