After the not-very-successful,Philippines modular G5, LG is changing its strategy. The company's new flagship, the LG G6, will not be modular at all; according to new reports, it will feature a new, waterproof design with a large screen and very small bezels.
Chinese outlet Etnewsclaims the phone will be unveiled on Feb. 26 -- one day before the official start of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona -- with general availability starting on March 10.

LG has never been too shy about announcing details on its phones in advance, and the company confirmed that this display will be used in its next flagship phone.
That's a different screen resolution than LG G5's 2,560x1,440 pixel resolution, and while it doesn't sound like a huge change, The Vergereports that the G6 will have very small bezels, meaning the 5.7-inch screen will probably fit into a smaller-than-expected body.
"We expect to maximize user experience and customer value through the super high-quality display with its new 18:9 aspect ratio, which sets it apart from conventional displays for smartphones," LG Display SVP and head of mobile development, Byeong-koo Kim, said in a statement.
LG Display also claims the new display is thinner and lighter than before, and responds better to touch.
Other rumored specs of the upcoming LG G6 include a Snapdragon 835 processor and 6GB of RAM. These have not been confirmed by LG, but it's not impossible that we learn more about the new flagship even before its rumored launch in February.
