Though they won't match January's Golden Globes for timeliness018 Archives Sunday's Oscars will definitely highlight the Time's Up movement and work it has done so far.

Movement founders including Shonda Rhimes and Ava DuVernay told reporters on Thursday that "there's a moment carved out" at the Oscar ceremony to acknowledge the work they have put in over the past few months.

While Time's Up's work is as important as ever, it sounds like it won't dominate the 90th Academy Awards, where activism and gender equality were definite hallmarks of the Golden Globes. Celebrities dressed in black and women brought activists as guests on the red carpet, where they talked about social issues in lieu of fashion and such.

“It’s really important that you know that Time’s Up is not about the red carpet," Rhimes said at Thursday's press event, per Variety. “And those women you saw on the red carpet representing Time’s Up are now off the red carpet working their butts off being activists.”

Since launching at the beginning of 2018, Time's Up has raised over $21 million for a legal defense fund that protects professional women from abuse and manipulation based on their gender. The legal team assists women across career paths and fights everything from sexual harassment to promotion biases and safety issues. Leaders of the movement also announced a partnership with StoryCorps to help spread word of what women deal with in the workplace.

The Oscars air Sunday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
