While some dedicated readers head to Politifact or Snopes to fact check his most outrageous statements, that's an extra step many are unwilling to take. Over at The Washington Post, however, software developers recently created Chrome and Firefox extensions that fact check Trump's tweets for you.

Instead of having to visit thePostdirectly, users can simply read a brief summary below the tweet. Some tweets do, however, redirect users back to the site.
Whether or not Trump's core supporters, many of whom distrust mainstream media sources, will trust the Postextension is up for debate.
Still, anything that can be done to stop the plague of fake news -- and "unpresidented" tweets -- helps.
